Music professor emeritus, Chico State University, organist and founder/director of the Bach Festival at Chico State, Rothe received a bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University, a master's from UC Berkeley and a doctorate from Stanford University. His concert performances have taken him all over the West Coast as well as to Europe, Japan, the Ukraine, Latvia, and Russia.

This concert by one of the most gifted organists in our area will include works by Buxtehude, J.S. Bach, Messiaen as well as others.

Rothe is known for his engaging way of informing the audience about the pieces he plays as well as his impressive talent as an organist.
