Sing the Music of Hildegard von Bingen
   
Summary:

Experience the music of 12th century Abbess Hildegard von Bingen the way she herself shared it with the women and men who sang with her — as a gentle, contemplative practice of listening and singing together. No previous experience with the music of Hildegard or with medieval music is required. Everyone who loves to sing, or who has always wanted to sing, is welcome.

More Information:

Hildegard von Bingen, 12th century Benedictine Abbess, was a visionary, composer, author, and healer. Her songs contain beautiful melodies and profound teachings that reach deeply into the heart and soul of the singer.

Devi Mathieu has been studying and singing Hildegard’s music since 1993, and teaching in the medieval oral tradition since 1996. She sings medieval and contemporary music in the US and Europe. Contact her at 707-829-0815 or DMathieu@sonic.net.
