Hildegard von Bingen, 12th century Benedictine Abbess, was a wisdom teacher, a visonary, a composer, an authori, and a healer. Her songs contain beautiful melodies and profound teachings that reach deeply into the heart and soul of the singer.

Devi Mathieu has been studying and singing Hildegard's music since 1993, and teaching in the medieval tradition since 1996. She enjoys singing early and contemporary music and has performed extensively in the U.S. and Europe, often in the company of string virtuoso Shira Kammen and composer/pianist W.A. (Allaudin) Mathieu. Devi has played the roles of Castitas and Misericordia in Hildegard's opera, Ordo Virtutum, co-directs the Vox Flores and Vox Terrae vocal ensembles in presentations of medieval music, and offers workshops, retreats, and private vocal coaching.
