Event:
Sacred Circle Dancing—A Solstice Celebration
with Mariam Baker

Summary:

Join together to dance and sing in celebration of the Winter Solstice, the coming celebration of Christ's birth, and Jelalludin Rumi's Saint's Day, or Urs.

Mariam Baker, a senior teacher in the Mevlevi Order of the whirling dervishes of Turkey who led a turning class at Incarnation at Numina's All Saint’s weekend event in 2007, returns to guide us in Dances of Universal Peace honoring Sufi and Christian traditions. Celebrate the season with dance.

The Dances of Universal Peace are simple dances that celebrate the unity of all the world's traditions. Begun in the 1960s, their purpose is to spread peace, love, and harmony.

No previous experience necessary.
