Writing the Sacred: A Workshop with Ray McGinnis |
| Summary: |
Ray McGinnis returns to Santa Rosa to offer a workshop connecting us with the original psalm writers. He discusses the intent and meaning of the historical psalms, and then sets us on a path to creating our own sacred poetry. McGinnis is a published poet, and graduate of the Center for Journal Therapy, in Lakewood, Colorado. He has facilitated groups for over twenty-five years, including as a program staff member of the Naramata Centre for Continuing Education, in British Columbia, Canada from 1995-1998. Writing the Sacred: A Psalm-Inspired Path to Appreciating and Writing Sacred Poetry is his first published book through Northstone (2005).
